Whiteboarding at Affiliate Summit

I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Affiliate Summit East will be in full swing two weeks from now, and this time I’m leading a unique session, bright & early in the morning.

Are you an early bird? Nothing to do before breakfast? Want free coffee? Bring your sites to this open session and get advice on usability, SEO, conversions and revenue streams.

The session is both Monday and Tuesday, from 8 to 9am in the Clinton Suite. There will be coffee available, too (probably not Tim Hortons (closest Timmy’s is at 7th Ave & 50th St, less than 10 minute walk), but the coffee at the Hilton is good).

Participants will be asked to provide their name, URL and problem they’re having with their site (or idea). Examples of problems sites have could be:

Since everyone is supposed to have business cards with them, these will be used to get the info to me. Index cards will be available for a backup.

My plan is to spend just 10 minutes on each site, which means in an hour I’ll be able to get through 5 sites, or 10 sites through both sessions. I’ll review the site on my netbook (so, if you want to see the site, too, bring your laptop) and there will be a whiteboard or flip pad for note taking (if I need to draw something, I will, or the site owner or someone kind enough to help me can take notes).

Any sites that I don’t get to, I’ll bring home with me and review in the weeks after Affiliate Summit and e-mail the site owner.

I recently did a 15-minute review over Skype, and gave out a lot of good info. Cramming it into 10 minutes will just mean I have to talk faster, and the owner will have to write faster. Feel free to record your site’s review.

Why should you listen to my advice? You don’t have to, but I’ve been doing this for a while now. You can read all about me and read what others have said about my consulting services.

See you in New York! (if you’re interested in seeing my schedule, check out ase11.sched.org/ericnagel)
