One of the first things most people do when they get on the Internet is send an e-mail. Then you start surfing, finding pages to share, and can easily click a button to post to Facebook, Tweet, Pin, or +1 some content.
Why isn’t there an elegant way to e-mail a page?
I received an email the other day asking how I added my breadcrumbs to my Thesis site.
On the site, they look like this:
But in the search results, they appear like this:
In the search results, the title is linked to the blog post, while the category is linked to the category page.
Here’s how I do it in Thesis…
I’m a big fan of the custom stuff you can do with Thesis. I’ve added rel author markup, specified the image Facebook uses when a post is liked, added microformatted breadcrumbs, and have even customized the text that’s used when the Tweet button is pressed.

I decided to attempt to do the same thing with my own blog (EricNagel.com), which runs on Thesis.
Google announced the availability of +1 today, and gives you the code to add +1 to your website. But if you’re using Thesis, how can you add it to your posts?
I have buttons to Tweet my posts, like them on Facebook, and Stumble them, and I wanted to add +1.
